UMLÄB
https://linktr.ee/umlab.musique
Umläb is a group formed in early 2020 from members of Moncton NB’s Les Païens and long-time collaborator Andrew Creeggan. This jazz.electro.rock project is a broad creative space that has roots in jazz-funk, trip hop, 20th century classical composers, house, post rock, math rock and clam rock.
Their debut recording, Disque Space, is a 5 song EP produced during the first year of the pandemic and released in December 2021. In December 2024, they released “Café Noisette”, an electro-jazz version of The Arabian Dance from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. Umläb revisits this great classic while preserving its exotic, hypnotic essence.
In September 2025, Umläb celebrated the release of their new album, Silence Radio—an instrumental journey into the heart of electro jazz-rock, disponible via J’ai dit bon musique.

History is littered with examples of states committing brutal violence - from European genocides in the Americas, to Rwanda, Germany and Cambodia, to the Kurds and Armenians, to the current slaughter in Gaza and Sudan. What value do definitions of "Genocide" and "Human Rights" have when the judge and the perpetrator are the same entity? Join us for an evening of stories and a discussion on the colonial and racist structures that enable such violence. Learn and add your imagination to the liberation of all oppressed people!
As always, Food Not Bombs SJ will be there providing food. So mark you calendars and we hope to see you all there!

You provide: bring your own backline! Amps, drumkit, etc. Minimum 30 minute sets.
